Plumbing Problems

After my move-in, we did not have as many big renovation tasks.  Instead, we started learning ways in which the house was defective.  These were not really old house issues so much as maintenance issues caused by indifferent custodianship over the last couple of decades.  For example, in May 2012, we learned that the shower pan under the walk-in shower was leaking and water was coming down under the house.  We also had bad leaks under the kitchen sink which caused the under-sink cabinets to get smelly and moldy.  We hired plumbers who fixed the shower pan leak and replaced the kitchen faucets to stop the leaking.  Fun.
